The 15th Annual Street Dance & Barbeque takes place Saturday, August 13, 2011, 5:00 p.m. - midnight, Dutch Marine, 1110 E. Communication Rd., Bridgenorth. Come by car. . . come by boat. . .come by foot. . . just be sure to come! Live music will be by The Stickmen with vocalist Sarah Edwards, back by popular demand for the second year in a row! Browse the Silent Auction items, there'll be children's activities, the barbeque, bar, ice carvings by the Ice People, 50/50 draws. . . . .a time to visit with neighbours, families and friends! Boat docking is available at Dutch Marine: bring your favourite lawn chair if you like! Admission ticket prices: adults 18 and over, $5.00; youth 4 - 17, $3.00; under 3, free of charge.

The Bridgenorth Beautification Committee has been granted the cork recycling program in the Peterborough area. Our slogan is 'Save a Cork, Plant a Tree'. For every leaf bag full of real corks, the BBC receives $15.00 which is put toward planting more trees along Ward St. For a list of the places you can take your corks to be recycled, click here
